Property index options, breadcrumb start levels, fragment nesting and path routing

Monday's question is easy to get wrong. Two of the wrong options are real index settings. They just belong to a Lucene index, not a property index. [1]

On Adobe Experience Manager 6.5, a developer creates an index whose type is property. Which two statements about its configuration options are correct? (Choose two.)

The correct answers are D and E.

A. type must be set to lucene for a property index

lucene is the type of a Lucene index. A property index sets type to property. [1]

B. excludePropertyNames lists the properties the property index leaves out

excludePropertyNames is a Lucene index option. A property index doesn't have it. [1]

C. includePropertyTypes chooses the property types the property index holds

includePropertyTypes is a Lucene index option, not a property index one. [1]

D. reindex set to true triggers a full content reindex Correct answer

reindex is a property index option. Set it to true and it triggers a full content reindex. [1]

E. declaringNodeTypes limits the index to a given node type Correct answer

declaringNodeTypes limits the index to the node type you name. [1]

A property index sits under oak:index with type set to property. Beyond that it takes the properties to store, a unique flag, the node types it applies to and the reindex flag. [1]

A site in Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service uses /content/shop/<country>/ and below. The breadcrumb should start at the country page.

What should the author set in the Breadcrumb component?

The correct answer is C.

A. Navigation Start Level set to 0

A start level of 0 begins at /content. [2]

B. Navigation Start Level set to 1

A start level of 1 begins at /content/shop, one level above the country page. [2]

C. Navigation Start Level set to 2 Correct answer

A start level of 2 begins at /content/shop/<country>, the country page itself. [2]

Count down from /content to the page where the breadcrumb should begin. That count is the start level. [2]

A resort operator is modeling hotels, rooms, amenities and local attractions as Content Fragments in Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service. The architect's draft links every model to the others with Fragment References, five levels deep, to be safe.

What should the architect do with the draft?

The correct answer is B.

A. Keep all five levels, so that each fragment holds its full context for every application

Five levels "to be safe" adds depth nothing needs. Nest only as far as the relationships go. [3]

B. Cut the nesting back to the levels the relationships need, and nest as little as possible Correct answer

Nest as deep as the relationships need and no deeper. That's the best practice for Fragment References. [3]

C. Keep all five levels, since nesting depth has no effect on authors or on applications

Depth does matter. Every extra level is one more reference to follow, so keep the nesting as shallow as you can. [3]

D. Remove every Fragment Reference, and repeat the related data inside each model

Fragment References are how models relate to each other. Removing all of them and copying the data into every model goes too far the other way. [3]

Count the reference levels in the model. If you can't say why one is there, cut it. [3]

Which Elastic Load Balancing type lets one load balancer send /orders requests to one container group and /blog requests to another?

The correct answer is A.

A. Application Load Balancer Correct answer

An Application Load Balancer works at layer 7. Its listener rules can match on the URL path and forward each path to its own target group. [4]

B. Network Load Balancer with cross-zone load balancing

Cross-zone load balancing spreads traffic across Availability Zones. It doesn't add path routing, and a Network Load Balancer still works at layer 4. [4]

C. Network Load Balancer

A Network Load Balancer works at layer 4 and has no path conditions. [4]

D. Classic Load Balancer with two listeners

A Classic Load Balancer doesn't route by path, and adding listeners won't change that. [4]

If requests have to go to different places by URL path, it's an Application Load Balancer. [4]
