  • "Identify the difference between CRUD operations and other common capabilities of REST APIs"

Sample questions

Three questions from the AD0-E902 practice bank, with the answer and why each option is right or wrong.

Question 1

An event registration service sends a date to Adobe Workfront Fusion as the text `28/12/2026`, day first. An integration developer must map it into a date field of an Adobe Workfront project. Which expression turns the text into a date value?

  • A. `parseDate(1.eventDate; MM/DD/YYYY)`
  • B. `formatDate(1.eventDate; DD/MM/YYYY)`
  • C. `parseDate(1.eventDate; DD/MM/YYYY)`
  • D. `parseDate(1.eventDate; YYYY/MM/DD)`

Answer: C. `parseDate` converts text that represents a date into a Date value. Its format argument describes the text you already have, written with date and time tokens such as `DD`, `MM` and `YYYY`. [2]

  • A. Wrong. This format puts the month first, and the month number token covers 1 to 12, so the day value 28 does not fit that position.
  • B. Wrong. `formatDate` takes a Date value and returns Text, so its result is not the date value the project field needs.
  • C. Right. `parseDate` converts a text string to a Date value, and the format `DD/MM/YYYY` matches the day, month and year order of the incoming text.
  • D. Wrong. This format expects the year first, while the incoming text starts with the day, so the format does not describe the value.

Question 2

A developer adds `JSON > Parse JSON` to a new Adobe Workfront Fusion scenario. No data structure exists for the partner's JSON, and the developer wants Workfront Fusion to work out the structure from a sample. Which sequence makes the parsed items available for mapping?

  • A. Connect the next modules and map the items, then enter the sample in `JSON string` and run the scenario manually.
  • B. Enter the sample in `JSON string`, leave Parse JSON unconnected, run the scenario manually, then connect the next modules.
  • C. Connect an Iterator first, run the scenario manually, then add Parse JSON after the Iterator.
  • D. Enter the sample in `JSON string`, connect the next modules, map the items, then run the scenario manually.

Answer: B. When Parse JSON has no data structure, Adobe Workfront Fusion builds one from the JSON you give it. Enter the JSON, keep later modules unconnected, run the scenario manually, then connect and map. [3]

  • A. Wrong. Before the manual run, Adobe Workfront Fusion does not know the structure of the JSON, so nothing from Parse JSON can be mapped yet.
  • B. Right. With no data structure, the manual run lets Parse JSON identify the structure from the JSON, and the following modules connected after it can then map its items.
  • C. Wrong. An Iterator converts an array into a series of bundles. It cannot tell Parse JSON what structure the JSON has.
  • D. Wrong. Mapping comes too early here. Until the manual run identifies the structure, the items from Parse JSON are not available to map.

Question 3

An integration developer is building an Adobe Workfront Fusion scenario for a request queue. The draft test plan schedules all testing for the final week, once the scenario is complete and ready to launch. How should the plan change?

  • A. Build testing into every stage of the build, starting well before the launch date.
  • B. Keep the final week, and add a second round of tests after the scenario goes live.
  • C. Start testing once error handling is configured, since earlier runs are expected to fail.
  • D. Keep the final week, and give it to the business users for user acceptance testing.

Answer: A. Testing runs throughout the lifecycle of an Adobe Workfront Fusion implementation. It starts with the first design decisions and goes on at every stage of the build. [4]

  • A. Right. Testing is a priority throughout the entire lifecycle of an Adobe Workfront Fusion implementation, so every stage of the build is tested.
  • B. Wrong. Tests after go live still leave every earlier stage untested. Testing belongs in each stage of the build.
  • C. Wrong. Waiting for error handling still holds testing back to a late stage. Testing belongs in every stage of the build.
  • D. Wrong. Handing the final week to business users still holds all testing until the scenario is finished.
