Sample questions
Three questions from the AD0-E409 practice bank, with the answer and why each option is right or wrong.
Question 1
An Adobe Target audience uses the Browser attribute with a rule on the full browser version, and the site runs at.js 2.10 with default settings. Chromium based browsers send reduced user agent data. What must the developer configure?
- A. `allowHighEntropyClientHints` set to `true` in `targetGlobalSettings`
- B. `deviceIdLifetime` raised in `targetGlobalSettings`
- C. `allowHighEntropyClientHints` left at its default
- D. `selectorsPollingTimeout` raised in `targetGlobalSettings`
Answer: A. From at.js 2.9.0, client hints travel with each request. Low entropy hints come by default; audiences that need high entropy data, such as the full browser version or the device model, need `allowHighEntropyClientHints: true`. [2]
- A. Right. The full browser version comes from a high entropy client hint, and at.js collects those only when `allowHighEntropyClientHints` is set to `true` in `targetGlobalSettings`.
- B. Wrong. `deviceIdLifetime` sets how long the device ID stays in cookies. It collects no client hints.
- C. Wrong. By default, at.js 2.9.0 and later collects only low entropy client hints, so the full version list never reaches Adobe Target.
- D. Wrong. `selectorsPollingTimeout` sets how long at.js waits for selector matched elements to appear. It has no effect on client hints.
Question 2
An A4T activity uses an Adobe Target click metric on a button that Adobe Analytics does not track. Where does that metric show up for analysts in Adobe Analytics?
- A. As a new success event the team must map
- B. As the Target Conversion metric in the metrics selector
- C. Only in the Adobe Target report, never in Adobe Analytics
- D. As a classification of the activity dimension
Answer: B. Use an Adobe Target based metric for actions Adobe Analytics does not track, such as a click on one element. Adobe Target sends it without any extra tagging on the page. [3]
- A. Wrong. Nobody maps a success event for this. The Adobe Target server sends the custom metric to Adobe Analytics automatically.
- B. Right. A custom Adobe Target metric is sent to Adobe Analytics from the Adobe Target server and appears as the Target Conversion metric in the metrics selector.
- C. Wrong. The custom metric does reach Adobe Analytics. Adobe Target sends it from its server, with no tagging work on the page.
- D. Wrong. Classifications name activities and experiences. The click metric arrives as a metric of its own, Target Conversion.
Question 3
A multi-page activity runs a journey from URL1 to URL2. A tester wants to open URL2 in Activity QA directly, but the QA links show only the first URL of each experience. What should the tester do?
- A. Build a second activity that starts on URL2
- B. Turn on Show default content for all other activities
- C. Copy the URL parameters from the URL1 link onto URL2 after a ?
- D. Ask for a separate QA link for URL2
Answer: C. The QA interface assumes a journey from the first page onward. Starting the journey on a later page takes the same parameters that the first link carries. [4]
- A. Wrong. A second activity would be a different test. Copying the QA parameters of URL1 onto URL2 opens the same activity on that page.
- B. Wrong. That setting previews the activity in isolation from other live activities. It does not open URL2 in Activity QA.
- C. Right. To go to URL2 on its own, copy all the URL parameters given for URL1 and apply them to URL2 after a question mark, as in URL1.
- D. Wrong. Activity QA generates one URL per experience, even when the experience spans several pages, so no separate link for URL2 exists.
