Sample questions

Three questions from the AD0-E214 practice bank, with the answer and why each option is right or wrong.

Question 1

An analyst wants project curation applied when they share a project with three regional managers for the first time. Which button should the analyst select in the Share with Workspace users dialog?

  • A. Curate and Share
  • B. Share, with Share embedded project components selected
  • C. Curate & Update

Answer: A. Curation limits the components recipients see. In the Share with Workspace users dialog, Curate and Share applies curation as part of a first share, and Curate & Update does the same for a project that is already shared. [2]

  • A. Right. Curate and Share applies project curation automatically as part of the share.
  • B. Wrong. Share embedded project components shares the project's segments, calculated metrics and date ranges. It applies no curation.
  • C. Wrong. Curate & Update is the curating button for a project that has already been shared. This project is being shared for the first time.

Question 2

A merchandising team wants a Pages report that lists every page from any visit that reached Checkout: Confirmation, with no pages from the same visitors' other visits. Which container should the business practitioner use for the rule Page equals Checkout: Confirmation?

  • A. Visitor
  • B. Hit
  • C. Visit

Answer: C. The container sets how much of a matching visitor's data the report keeps: the matching hit, the whole visit, or every visit in the date range. Adobe Analytics treats Visit as the most commonly used container because it captures the whole visit once the rule is met. [3]

  • A. Wrong. A Visitor container returns the matching page plus every other page the visitor viewed across all visits in the date range. That brings in the other visits the team wants left out.
  • B. Wrong. A Hit container keeps only the hits where the condition is true. The report would list the confirmation page and nothing else from the visit.
  • C. Right. A Visit container returns the matching page plus every other page viewed in the same visit. Pages from the visitor's other visits stay out of the report.

Question 3

An online outdoor clothing retailer wants one KPI for its yearly objective to increase sales through digital channels. Which metric should the business practitioner choose?

  • A. Average visitor time on site
  • B. Page views per unique visitor
  • C. Revenue per visit

Answer: C. Adobe asks you to fill in a chart with a business objective on each row and the metrics that measure it beside it. For an objective about digital sales, Adobe's example is revenue per visit. Engagement measures such as page views per unique visitor belong to an engagement objective. [4]

  • A. Wrong. Average visitor time on site measures site engagement, not sales. Adobe's sample KPI chart lists it under site engagement.
  • B. Wrong. Page views per unique visitor measures site engagement. It counts content seen and says nothing about money earned. Adobe's sample KPI chart lists it under site engagement.
  • C. Right. Revenue per visit ties money earned to the traffic that earned it. Adobe's sample KPI chart pairs the objective of increasing sales through digital channels with revenue per visit.
