Sample questions
Three questions from the AD0-E207 practice bank, with the answer and why each option is right or wrong.
Question 1
An analytics architect takes over an Adobe Analytics implementation from a technical owner who has left. Nothing about the implementation is documented, and the architect must plan the first weeks in the role. What should the architect use to plan the work?
- A. The Auditor tab in Adobe Experience Platform Debugger, whose results serve as the implementation's documentation
- B. The Full Review checklist, written for a new owner's first 6 months in the role
- C. The Focused Review checklist, written for the first website release after a handover
- D. The Inherited Implementation Playbook, which sets out discovery, audit and documentation activities for the first 10 weeks
Answer: D. A new technical owner of an existing Adobe Analytics implementation starts with the Inherited Implementation Playbook. It sets the discovery, audit and documentation work for the first 10 weeks. The Focused Review and the Full Review are recurring checks that come after the owner knows the implementation. [2]
- A. Wrong. The Auditor runs pass or fail tests on a page and suggests fixes. Its results do not document variables, requirements or business purpose.
- B. Wrong. The Full Review is a recurring check of the whole implementation against business needs. It is not a plan for a new owner's first months.
- C. Wrong. The Focused Review runs after each website release. It checks the KPI metrics and the updated section of the site. It is not a plan for a new owner's first weeks.
- D. Right. The Inherited Implementation Playbook is a spreadsheet for a new technical owner of an existing implementation. It walks through the discovery, audit and documentation activities for the first 10 weeks.
Question 2
An event that counted a retired loyalty promotion must disappear from Analysis Workspace, the Segment Builder and the Calculated Metric Builder. Developers will remove its code next quarter, and the data already collected must stay intact. Which setting should the architect use in Adobe Analytics?
- A. Visibility set to Builders
- B. Unique Event Recording set to Record Once Per Visit
- C. Polarity set so an upward trend is bad
- D. Visibility set to Hidden everywhere
Answer: D. Visibility controls where a metric appears in the interface, with three settings: visible everywhere, builders only, or hidden everywhere. It never changes what is collected, so hiding an event is safe while its code is still live. [3]
- A. Wrong. Builders keeps the event visible in the Segment Builder and the Calculated Metric Builder and hides it only from Analysis Workspace.
- B. Wrong. Record Once Per Visit changes how the event counts. It does not hide the event anywhere.
- C. Wrong. Polarity only sets whether an upward trend is good or bad for directional indicators.
- D. Right. Hidden everywhere removes the event from Analysis Workspace, the Segment Builder and the Calculated Metric Builder. Visibility does not affect data collection.
Question 3
A team moving a site from AppMeasurement to the Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK filters the browser network panel on `/ee/` and sees each `sendEvent` request leave the page with the expected payload. The architect also wants evidence of how the Edge Network processed each event on its way to Adobe Analytics. Which tool gives that evidence?
- A. The browser network panel with `Preserve log` turned on
- B. An HTTP debugging proxy placed between the browser and the Edge Network
- C. The `Summary` tab of Adobe Experience Platform Debugger
- D. Adobe Experience Platform Assurance
Answer: D. Web SDK validation has two layers. The browser network panel, filtered on `/ee/`, proves what the browser sent to the Edge Network. It does not prove that every downstream service processed the event. Adobe Experience Platform Assurance shows how the Edge Network handled each event, so a Web SDK validation plan names both tools. [4]
- A. Wrong. `Preserve log` keeps requests in the list after the browser moves to the next page. The panel still shows only the client request, and a client request does not by itself confirm downstream processing.
- B. Wrong. A proxy shows the HTTP traffic between the client and the server, so it still shows what the client sent. It does not show what the Edge Network did with the event afterwards.
- C. Wrong. The `Summary` tab lists library and account details for each solution, such as the Web SDK library version and the edge domain. It does not show how the Edge Network processed an event.
- D. Right. Inspecting the `/ee/` request shows what the browser sent to the Edge Network. To see how the Edge Network processed an event, you use Adobe Experience Platform Assurance.
