Sample questions
Three questions from the AD0-E129 practice bank, with the answer and why each option is right or wrong.
Question 1
In Adobe Experience Manager 6.5, which payload does the built in `LockProcess` workflow step leave without a lock?
- A. A payload node that is a DAM asset and not a page
- B. A payload node that has no `jcr:content` child node
- C. A payload node that a participant step has already assigned
- D. A payload node that is passed as a UUID and not as a path
Answer: B. `LockProcess` locks the workflow payload. It does nothing when the payload is already locked or when the payload node has no `jcr:content` child. Check the payload structure before you rely on the lock in a customized model. [2]
- A. Wrong. The process reference sets no asset or page rule for `LockProcess`. The two conditions it lists are an existing lock and a missing `jcr:content` child node.
- B. Right. The process reference says `LockProcess` has no effect when the payload node does not contain a `jcr:content` child node, or when the payload is already locked.
- C. Wrong. Assignment by a participant step is not one of the conditions the process reference lists for `LockProcess`.
- D. Wrong. The process reference lists both `JCR_PATH` and `JCR_UUID` as payloads the step accepts.
Question 2
A developer needs a script to read the query behind a smart collection in Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service. Where is that query stored?
- A. In the `dam:query` property of the `jcr:content` node of each member asset
- B. In the `dam:search` property of the collection's node under `/content/dam/collections/`
- C. In the `dam:query` property of the collection's node under `/var/dam/collections/`
- D. In the `dam:query` property of the collection's node under `/content/dam/collections/`
Answer: D. Saving a search as a smart collection stores its query in the `dam:query` property under `/content/dam/collections/`. [3]
- A. Wrong. The query is stored with the smart collection, in the `dam:query` property at the relative location `/content/dam/collections/`, not on its member assets.
- B. Wrong. The location is right, but the property that holds the query is `dam:query`.
- C. Wrong. The property is right, but the relative location is `/content/dam/collections/`, not a path under `/var`.
- D. Right. Every saved search corresponds to a smart collection, and the query for each collection is stored in the `dam:query` property at the relative location `/content/dam/collections/`.
Question 3
A developer needs a schema form of its own for PNG images in the Admin view of Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service. How should the developer create the form?
- A. Under `default`, with the title `image/png`
- B. Under the `image` forms, with the title `png`
- C. Under the `image` forms, with the title `image/png`
- D. Under `application`, with the title `png`
Answer: B. You create a schema form for a MIME subtype under its form type and title it with the subtype name, the same way the shipped `jpeg` and `tiff` forms sit under `image`. [4]
- A. Wrong. A form for a MIME subtype is created under its form type, here `image`, and its title is the subtype name, `png`.
- B. Right. To add a template for the `image/png` subtype, you create the form under the `image` forms. The title of the schema form is the subtype name, `png`.
- C. Wrong. The location is right, but the title of the form is the subtype name alone, `png`.
- D. Wrong. `application` is the form for MIME types such as `application/pdf` and `application/zip`. A form for `image/png` is created under `image`.
